July 17, Fineko/abc.az. Strategic initiatives in the field of Islamic banking were discussed during a meeting at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan with representatives of the Al-Huda Center for Islamic Banking & Economics (AlHuda CIBE).

ABC.AZ reports that the meeting with the executive director of the center, Mohammed Zubair Mughal, was held by the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank, Aliyar Mammadyarov.

The parties discussed current economic trends, the financial sector development strategy for 2024-2026, regulatory changes necessary for introduction of Islamic banking, as well as prospects for further cooperation in this area.
