Sweden has sent over $30 million to Ukraine for restoraton of energy sector

October 17, Fineko/abc.az. The Swedish government has allocated 320 million kronors ($30.41 million) as part of the combined Scandinavian-Baltic assistance package to Ukraine for restoration of the energy sector ahead of the onset of winter cold, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the government office.

"This assistance package is important to support the Ukrainian energy sector and helps ensure the viability of Ukrainian society and keep Ukrainian homes warm," Benjamin Dusy, Minister of Cooperation &Foreign Trade, said.

Since February 2022, Sweden has provided support for totally 57.4 billion kronors ($5.45 billion) to Ukraine. This includes humanitarian, military and economic assistance, as well as reconstruction and reform assistance. Taking into account the latest package, Sweden has allocated over 2.1 billion kronors ($199.5 million) to support the Ukrainian energy supply.
