Georgia got income for $2.5 bn from tourism for past 9 months

October 20, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia's income from international travelers amounted to $2.5 bn for Jan-Sept 2022 (a rise of 190.7% against Jan-Sept 2021), ABC.AZ reports, referring to the press service of the National Tourism Administration of the Georgian Economy Ministry.

The Ministry notes that in September alone, the country received more than $375 million from tourism (132.1% more versus September 2021).

From January to September 2022 over 3.8 million foreign tourists visited Georgia (almost 3-fold more against the 2021 same term).

The largest number of tourists came to Georgia from Russia, Turkey and Armenia.
