Kazakhstan may impose restrictions on grain and flour exports

April 4, Fineko/abc.az. Kazakhstan is considering the matter of introduction of temporary restrictions on the export of grain and flour to protect the domestic market, ABC.AZ reports, citing Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Yerbol Karashukeyev.

"The issue of introducing restrictions on both grain exports and flour exports is being worked out. The Russian Federation has imposed a ban on grain exports, we know the situation, we keep it under control. Our grain balance for this morning is positive, and it will be positive. We have enough for the domestic market... there will still be enough for export. At the level of average annual volumes. Exporters do not want to sell to the domestic market, they are waiting for the export price to rise," the minister explained.

At that, Karashukeev did not name specific dates for the introduction of restrictions.
