February 12, Fineko/abc.az. 91% of taxes are paid voluntarily to the State Budget in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-mentioned statement was made by Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov at a conference dedicated to the professional holiday of tax workers in Baku.

The minister points out that only 9% of taxes are collected at the expense of the tax service and the rest 91% is paid voluntarily.

"Besides, the number of inspections has sharply decreased. Thus, tax audits declined by 44%, compared with the previous year. In 2019 only two inspections of 1,000 active taxpayers were conducted in Azerbaijan. But as a result of research, targeted inspections and control measures, tax revenues grew by 18%," Jabbarov emphasized.
