September 22, Fineko/abc.az. Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov announced key economic targets for the "2027–2030 State Program on Mining and Metallurgy Industry" during a meeting chaired by President Ilham Aliyev.

By 2030, the sector's annual GDP contribution is projected to surge from AZN 700 million to AZN 1.8 billion, while annual export potential is expected to grow from AZN 1.3 billion to AZN 3.4 billion.

Total investment requirements for the program are estimated at AZN 5.3 billion. Public budget allocations will cover AZN 1.1 billion, state enterprises will contribute AZN 2.2 billion, and the private sector will provide AZN 2 billion. Overall, nearly 80% of funding will stem from off-budget sources, expanding the sector's value-added by 2.6 times.
