August 20, Fineko/abc.az. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree approving the Charter and structure of the Small and Medium Business, Investment and Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Economy. The decree comes into effect on October 1, 2026.
Under the new regulations, government agencies and state-owned entities must coordinate draft legislation affecting micro, small, and medium businesses, as well as investment and export activities, with the Agency prior to submission. Headquartered in Baku, the Agency operates within the Ministry of Economy and is funded through the state budget and other legally permitted sources.
