August 20, Fineko/abc.az. Under the "State Program for Tourism Development 2026–2030" approved by President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan is set to roll out key initiatives to boost foreign tourism.

The program outlines the establishment of a "digital nomad" visa category for remote professionals, along with improvements to multiple-entry e-visas and expanded visa-on-arrival options.

Additionally, the state initiative aims to grant visa-free entry to citizens holding ordinary passports from 34 key target countries. Measures also encompass aligning air passenger transport with national tourism priorities, as well as upgrading classification systems and the official database for tourism operators.
