August 14, Fineko/abc.az. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has approved amendments to the laws "On Breeding Achievements" and "On State Duty."

The amendments provide for the creation of a unified electronic register maintained by an authorized state body. The register will contain data on breeding achievements, registered seed sector operators, seed usage contracts, and other related information.

In addition, new state duties have been established:

• For issuing an extract from the information system — 50 AZN;

• For a duplicate of the extract — 10 AZN;

• For issuing a certificate confirming the varietal and sowing qualities of seeds — 25 AZN.
