Oil Transported via BTC Pipeline Decreases by 8.6%

August 17, Fineko/abc.az. In the first seven months of 2026 (January–July), 14,773.2 thousand tonnes of oil were transported via the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) main export pipeline, marking an 8.6% decline compared to the same period of last year.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the BTC pipeline accounted for 76.8% of total oil transported through main oil pipelines in Azerbaijan during the reporting period.

Of the total oil transported via BTC during these 7 months, 82.3% (12,154.7 thousand tonnes) was oil produced in Azerbaijan, while 17.7% (2,618.5 thousand tonnes) was transit oil originating from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
