August 14, Fineko/abc.az. In January-July 2026, every citizen spent an average of 533.6 AZN per month in the retail trade network.

According to the State Statistics Committee, 290 AZN of this amount went toward food products, beverages, and tobacco, while 243.6 AZN was spent on non-food items.

Food products accounted for 50% of total retail spending, followed by clothing and footwear at 12.5%, auto fuel at 6.1%, electrical goods and furniture at 4.8%, beverages and tobacco at 4.3%, pharmaceuticals at 2.8%, computers and telecom equipment at 1.4%, and other non-food goods at 18.1%.
