August 6, Fineko/abc.az. Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated in Kyiv that Baku is prepared to supply natural gas to Ukraine if necessary. The minister also highlighted the utilization of Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities as a promising avenue for strengthening the energy security of the entire region.

According to Bayramov, SOCAR has a long-standing presence in the Ukrainian market and intends to expand its energy cooperation, describing the ongoing dialogue on new joint initiatives as "very dynamic."

The minister recalled that Azerbaijan currently exports gas to 12 European nations, 10 of which are EU members, emphasizing that readiness to integrate Ukraine into these supply chains is a logical extension of Baku's regional energy role.
