August 8, Fineko/abc.az.  According to the Press Service of the President, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had a phone conversation with President of the United States of America Donald Trump on August 8.

During the conversation, both leaders expressed satisfaction on the anniversary of the Washington Peace Summit, emphasizing that the initialing of the Peace Agreement and the Joint Declaration brought an end to conflict in the region. President Ilham Aliyev thanked Donald Trump for hosting the summit and contributing to the peace agenda, while President Trump highly valued President Aliyev’s leadership in the peace process.

The sides hailed the signing of the strategic partnership document between Azerbaijan and the US as a historic milestone. They also touched upon positive regional developments, including the export of Azerbaijani petroleum products to Armenia, transit cargo routes, and the TRIPP infrastructure project. Furthermore, the President of Azerbaijan expressed gratitude to the US President for the invitation to the G20 summit.
