August 7, Fineko/abc.az. An analytical note from the Bank of America (BofA) team led by Michael Hartnett notes that the Bull & Bear indicator rose from 9.4 to 9.7, reaching its highest level since 2021.
Experts cite the expansion of the stock market, strong capital inflows into high-yield debt instruments and narrowing yield spreads as reasons for investor optimism.
Nevertheless, strategists recommend that investors switch to defensive assets to insure against possible negative surprises in the economy, monetary policy, and artificial intelligence. Hartnett advised investors to reduce their positions in risky assets and pay attention to long-term instruments and the US dollar.
This warning came as stock indexes on both sides of the Atlantic reached record highs in anticipation of key U.S. employment data.
