July 22, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia imported 166.4 tons of watermelons for $53,100 from Azerbaijan in the 1st half of 2026.

The National Statistics Service of Georgia reports that the figure is 71% more in value terms and 73% more in quantity terms compared to Jan-Jun 2025.

Thus, Azerbaijan took 4th place in the list of countries exporting watermelons to Georgia.

Over Jan-Jun 2026, Georgia purchased 9,568 tons of watermelons for $2.9 million from foreign countries (0.3% and 0.1% more than in the previous year).

Georgia bought 4,824 tons of watermelons from Iran for $1.45 million, 4,335 tons from Turkey for $1.3 million, 228 tons from Uzbekistan for $68,400, and 14 tons from the Netherlands for $21,300.
