July 22, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan exported 8,341 tons of hazelnuts for $95.584 million for Jan-Jun 2026, the State Customs Committee informs.

Compared with Jan-Jun 2025, the figure is 2,417 tons (22.4%) less in volume, but $18.914 million (24.6%) more in value.

Hazelnut exports made up 0.6% of Azerbaijan's overall export earnings.

In the first 6 months of the year, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations with other countries for $24.7 million (1.1% more than in the previous year), including exports for $16.32 bn (a rise by 26.7%) and imports for $8.341 bn (a drop by 27.6%).

As a result, the foreign trade balance was positive at the level of $7.979 bn (5.9-fold higher versus Jan-Jun 2025).
