July 7, Fineko/abc.az. Germany's industrial production increased by 0.9% in May, compared with April, significantly exceeding analysts' forecast (+0.2%). The main driver was the automotive industry, where production grew by 3.6%.

In a 3-month period (March-May), growth was 0.1% compared with the previous period. At the same time, the data for April was revised downwards to +0.2% from the previously estimated 0.4%.

Earlier, it was reported that industrial orders increased by 1.9% in May, demonstrating a steady trend even without taking into account large contracts.
