June 20, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan continues to anchor regional cross-border logistics, providing secure transit tracks for Russian agricultural supplies bound for the Armenian market.

According to ABC.AZ, quoting the Press Service of "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC (ADY), a freight convoy comprising 7 railcars loaded with 490 tons of Russian-origin wheat is being dispatched from the Bilajari yard toward the Boyuk Kesik border point. The commercial supply will transition through the Georgian rail network to reach its destination in Armenia.

Core Logistical and Commercial Vectors:

  • Aggregate Russian Freight Transit: Since the normalization of regional transport corridors, ADY has successfully cleared the cross-border transit of over 29,000 tons of grain crops, more than 7,000 tons of fertilizers, 414 tons of anthracite coal, 133 tons of aluminum, and 68 tons of buckwheat from Russia to Armenia.

  • Direct Azerbaijani Petroleum Exports to Armenia: Parallel to enabling third-party transit operations, Azerbaijan maintains direct outbound commercial energy flows to Armenia, executed at global market benchmarks. The integrated energy export data logs print the following figures:

    • Diesel Fuel: Over 13,000 tons;

    • AI-95 Premium Gasoline: 2,955 tons;

    • AI-92 Regular Gasoline: 979 tons.
