June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's turnover in tourism and mutual tourism services observed decline in the first quarter of 2026 against Jan-Mar 2025, but the sector still maintained a small surplus.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the CBA that for Jan-Mar 2026, country's overall turnover in mutual tourism services decreased by 16.6% to $600 million.

The money spent in Azerbaijan by foreign tourists and earned by the country amounted to $316.7 million, while the amount spent by Azerbaijani citizens on trips abroad reached $310.2 million.

That is, the positive balance (surplus) of $6.5 million was formed due to the fact that expenses of tourists coming to the country were somewhat overestimated - in other words, our country had small income in the field of tourism.
