May 21, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2026, 658,500 foreigners and stateless persons arrived in Azerbaijan from 175 countries (10.5% less versus Jan-Apr 2025).

ABC.AZ informs that 26.7% of the arrivals were citizens of the Russian Federation, 22.4% - Turkey, 8.7% - Iran, 5.3% - Georgia, 4.5% - Kazakhstan, 3.2% - Uzbekistan, 3.0% - India, 2.7% - Pakistan, 2.2% - China, 2.1% - Saudi Arabia, 1.6% - Ukraine 1.5% - Turkmenistan, 1.4% - Israel; 1.1% each - Germany and Great Britain; 12.5% - citizens of other countries and stateless persons.

Of the arrivals, 70.9% were men and 29.1% - women. Compared with Jan-Apr 2025, for the past 4 months the quantity of arrivals from the EU member states grew by 17.1% up to 32,600 people and from the CIS countries by 3.5% up to 251,500 people, while from the Persian Gulf countries decreased by 27.8% to 85,100. The number of people from other countries observed a drop by 16.7% to 289,300 people.
