April 30, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have signed a memorandum on the establishment of a joint private travel company.
ABC.AZ informs that the document was signed in the presence of Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel, and provides for the launch of a single Kazakh-Azerbaijani tour operator, TurAn.
The initiators of the project were Discover Jetisu and Smile Azerbaijan Tour LLC. The aim is to increase the mutual tourist flow, as well as increase the investment and cultural attractiveness of the two countries.
According to the agreements, the authorized capital of the new tour operator will amount to $100,000 with equal distribution of shares between the parties. The company will render a full range of travel services, including ecotourism, cultural and gastronomic tours, as well as medical and wellness destinations.
TurAn will become the first joint private company of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in the tourism sector. The project is expected to contribute to promotion of the regions of the South Caucasus and Central Asia as a single tourist destination at the international market.
