April 22, Fineko/abc.az. The State Tourism Agency has cancelled the star category of four hotels in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that the decision extended to hotels of two- and one-star categories.

The category of three 2-star and one 1-star hotels has been canceled. Thus, the number of hotels with star category in the country decreased from 279 to 275.

Currently, there are 23 5-star hotels in Azerbaijan, 43 4-star hotels, 97 3-star hotels, 81 2-star hotels and 31 1-star hotels. 201 of the star hotels are located in Baku, which is approx. 73% of the total in the country.
