June 15, Fineko/abc.az. Copper benchmarks logged a sharp acceleration during the second week of June, driven by intensifying market optimism following the geopolitical breakthrough and de-escalation framework secured between the United States and Iran.
According to ABC.AZ, tracking international cross-asset commodities, industrial metals reacted aggressively to public disclosures from Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who confirmed comprehensive treaty clearing over core strategic disputes.
Market Technical Breakdowns:
London Metal Exchange (LME): The spot copper metric advanced by 1.2% on the London floor, climbing toward approximately $13,650 per metric ton.
COMEX Exchange (New York): On the US side, COMEX copper futures gained 1.8% in value, establishing a high trading tier of $6.39 per pound.
Market strategists point out that the formal execution of the stabilization MOU, which covers the complete operational reopening of the critical Strait of Hormuz waterway, has substantially removed macro-economic growth bottlenecks, supercharging demand projections for base industrial metals moving forward.
