May 26, Fineko/abc.az. Russia aims to increase the number of Russian tourists visiting Azerbaijan to 1 million.
ABC.AZ informs that Mikhayil Yevdokimov, Russia's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, said this at the business panel "Investments in the Caspian Region".
The diplomat stressed the importance of maximizing efficiency in cooperation across all fields:
"Due to the situation around neighboring Iran, tourist flows have slightly decreased. However, we hope that next year or the year after, the number of Russian tourists coming to Azerbaijan will reach one million. The Russian side is making efforts to ensure a steady increase in outbound tourism to Azerbaijan."
