June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Yum Brands has announced the sale of the Pizza Hut chain for $2.7 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, the China operations will be acquired by Yum China for $1.2 billion, while the remaining global business will be transferred to private equity firm LongRange Capital for $1.5 billion.

According to ABC.AZ, the transaction comes amid intensifying market competition, declining consumer demand, and heightened consumer caution. The industry is also facing substantial macroeconomic pressure from persistent inflation and the rising popularity of weight-loss medications, which are fundamentally reshaping global dietary habits.
