April 27, Fineko/abc.az. Toyota Motor broke its own record for car sales for the first time in two years, selling a record of 10.48 million vehicles worldwide in fiscal year 2025, ABC.AZ informs, referring to business agency Kyodo News.
This was driven by strong demand for hybrid vehicles, especially in North America, despite negative impact of high tariffs in the U.S.
According to world's largest automaker, global sales grew by 2% in fiscal year 2025 compared with the previous year.
However, according to Toyota, amid the conflict in the region, exports from Japan to the Middle East in March fell by almost by half - by 46.4% against the previous year - and reached 17,122 vehicles.
