April 23, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 12,299 tons of meat for $28.63 million for Jan-Mar 2026.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the State Customs Committee, the figure is 3.4% (410 tons) and 15.3% ($3.805 million) more against Jan-Mar 2025.

Meat import costs made up 0.7% of country's overall imports.

Over the past 3 months, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover totaled $9.407 bn (21.9% less in annual terms), including exports for $5.402 billion and imports for $4.005 billion. Over Jan-Mar 2026, exports declined by 15.4% and imports by 29.3%.

As a result, positive balance of $1.398 billion was formed (93.4% more versus Jan-Mar 2025).
