February 20, Fineko/abc.az. Nominal income of the population in Azerbaijan increased by 8.6% up to 6.478 billion manats in January 2026, ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Nominal income per inhabitant grew by 8.2% up to 631.2 manats. According to other data from the State Statistics Committee, annual inflation in Azerbaijan made up 5.7% in January. Food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products made up 7.1%, non-food products - 3.5%, and paid services to the public - 5.6%.

As of January 1, 2026, household deposits in banks increased by 14.4% year-on-year and amounted to 16.77 billion manats.

In the first month, the population carried out retail trade for 5.29 billion manats.
