February 5, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 1.2 tons of melon seeds for $726,000 for Jan-Nov 2025 (51% more in value terms and 20% more in quantity against Jan-Nov 2024), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Azerbaijan bought 0.35 tons of products from Thailand for $340,200 (2.2-fold more than a year earlier, +67%), 0.4 tons from China for $279,000 (+14%, +44%), from India - 0.1 tons for $57,800 (+2%, +43%), from Turkey - 0.02 tons for $19,700 (4-fold more, -88%), from the U.S. - 0.3 tons for $12,100 (+2%, +20%).

In 2024, 54% of the entire volume of melond seeds for $576,000 was imported by Azerbaijan from China.
