Budget expenditures for next year are 9.6 bn manats more than in 2022

November 13, Fineko/abc.az. The planned expenditures of Azerbaijan’s State Budget 2026 compared with 2022 will amount to 9.6 billion manats, or 30% more.

ABC.AZ informs that Deputy Finance Minister Himalay Mamishov made the relevant statement at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Agrarian Policy, the Committee on Family, Women and Children, and the Committee on Science and Education.

According to Mamishov, during the preparation of the draft budget for next year, the main directions of budget policy were the development of the economy, strengthening social security for the population, increasing the defense capability of Azerbaijan, the formation of financial support for reconstruction and construction work in the territories liberated from occupation and other activities.

"In 2026, 25.2 billion manats or 60.3% of budget expenditures will be current expenditures, 14.1 billion manats or 33.8% will be capital expenditures, 2.5 billion manats or 5.9% will be expenses related to servicing public debt. 88.1% of current expenses will be covered by revenues from the non-oil/gas sector. This is 7.1 percentage points more than in 2025," the deputy minister added.
