October 31, Fineko/abc.az. This year has become historic in terms of establishing peace and resolving the issue of the Zangezur corridor.
ABC.AZ reports that the head of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Erdal Bakhchivan, made this statement at full-scale business meetings held during his official visit to Baku.
According to Bakhchivan, the most important element, as a complement to the close relations that have developed in many areas with friendly and fraternal Azerbaijan, is the economy: "The most important, integral part of the economy is industry. As Turkey's largest industrial organization, the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, we have planned such a visit with wide staff consisting of representatives of leading companies and sectors in Turkey to see investment opportunities, business conditions here, explore them on the spot, in order to further promote the cooperation and development process that we have formed so far, as well as in order for these ties to turn into various investment areas in the future."
He noted that this is one of the most significant industrial visits to Baku: "Of course, it is not easy to achieve results immediately. However, we believe that the industry representatives who have arrived with us will appreciate the development taking place here, as well as the opportunities and prospects that will open up in this region in the future. At the same time, they will be able to apply their experience and knowledge gained in Turkey in Azerbaijan for investment purposes."
Bakhchivan also noted that this year is historic in terms of establishing peace and forming the Zangezur corridor: "After difficult period, Azerbaijan has entered an important stage on its way to becoming a shining star of the world. As experienced representatives of the Turkish industry, we believe that we are responsible for this process, and we must contribute to economic activity and investment at this important stage. We believe that in the coming periods these efforts will pay off and a number of successful projects will be implemented."
