October 28, Fineko/abc.az. In the period from January to September 2025, the net profit of credit unions in Azerbaijan reached 100,000 manats.
ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that for the 2024 same term, the credit unions had loss of 528,000 manats.
Interest income increased from 1,440,000 manats up to 1,500,000 manats, while interest expenses on liabilities decreased from 76,000 manats to 4,000 manats. As a result, net interest income grew from 1.364 million manats up to 1.5 million manats. Non-interest income declined from 239,000 manats to 200,000 manats, while non-interest expenses increased from 872,000 manats up to 1 million manats.
If to consider the balance sheet indicators, credit unions’ overall assets increased from 12.7 million manats up to 13 million manats. The loan portfolio grew from 10.9 million manats up to 11.1 million manats. Cash decreased from 600,000 manats to 500,000 manats, accrued interest increased from 1 million manats up to 1.1 million manats, and other assets from 100,000 manats up to 200,000 manats.
Liabilities dropped from 3.3 million manats to 2.7 million manats, and the main driver was a decrease in loans received from 3 million manats to 2.4 million manats.
The capital part increased from 9.4 million manats up to 10.3 million manats, while the retained net profit from 1.8 million manats up to 3 million manats. The authorized capital decreased from 7.6 million manats to 7.3 million manats.
