October 22, Fineko/abc.az. Egypt has launched a plan to increase purchases of petroleum products for electricity generation in order to free up more gas for export and reduce debt to foreign companies.

ABC.AZ informs that state-owned company General Petroleum intends to buy over 1 million tons of diesel fuel, gasoline and butane (60% more than a year earlier). The country is negotiating regular LNG supplies from November to March, trying to attract investment and restore its position as a gas exporter.
