Visa tests stablecoins to speed up international payments

September 30, Fineko/abc.az. Visa has announced that it will begin testing a new way to finance international payments for companies, allowing them to use stablecoins instead of depositing cash into local accounts.

ABC.AZ reports that the company is working with several partners, whose names have not been disclosed, and plans to expand the pilot program next year.

The pilot initiative will allow banks, money transfer companies, and other financial institutions to pre-fund accounts with stablecoins instead of traditional currencies.

This step can speed up cross-border transactions and free up cash, as companies often have to lock funds in multiple currencies around the world to make local payments.
