October 3, Fineko/abc.az. Currency reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) for the past month increased by $31 million or 0.56% versus August.

According to the CBA, currency reserves amounted to $5.534 bn on 1 October 2018 against $5.503 bn on 1 September and $5.546 bn on 1 August of 2018.

"On 1 July currency reserves amounted to $5.512 bn, on 1 June - $5.471 bn, on 1 May - $5.465 bn, on 1 April - $5.508 bn, on 1 March - $5.387 bn, on 1 February - $5.38 bn and on 1 January - $5.334 bn," the CBA said.

Thus, for Jan-Sept 2018 CBA's foreign exchange reserves increased by $199.9 million or 3.75%.

In 2017 CBA currency reserves grew by 34.2%.
