September 1, Fineko/abc.az. By the end of July this year, the number of transactions with Visa cards issued by resident financial institutions (as well as payment cards of the statistical unit) in Azerbaijan amounted to 130.359 million transactions, with a total volume of 7.656 billion manats.

ABC.AZ reports, citing data from the Central Bank, that compared to the same period last year, the number of Visa card transactions increased by 28.1 million transactions (27.4%), while the volume of transactions rose by 1.1 billion manats (17.2%).

In addition, during the reporting period, the number of transactions with Visa cards issued by non-resident financial institutions amounted to 1.199 million transactions, with a total volume of 100 million manats. Compared to the same period last year, the number of such transactions increased by 251,500 transactions (26.5%), while the transaction volume grew by 10.6 million manats (11.8%).
