August 29, Fineko/abc.az. In 2024, Baku accounted for 458,000 pairs of footwear produced in Azerbaijan.

According to ABC.AZ, citing the State Statistics Committee, this is 144.5 thousand pairs (46%) more than in 2023 and 172.4 thousand pairs (60.3%) more than in 2020. In the Aghdam district, 112,000 pairs of footwear were produced.

Guba district increased production to 433.7 thousand pairs, 75% higher than last year and 3.3 times more than in 2020. At the same time, Absheron district saw a decline in production to 81,000 pairs, which is 57% less than a year earlier, but 3.6% higher than in the past five years.

The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic produced 0.2 thousand pairs of footwear, representing a 99.5% decline compared to five years ago, while no production was recorded there last year.
