September 10, Fineko/abc.az. The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the Rules for conducting customs expertise, approved by the decree of August 27, 2013.

In this regard, Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a new decision.

According to the amendments, a copy of the conclusion of the State Agency for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Supervision (under the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan) will be required to conduct customs examination of rough diamonds in Azerbaijan in accordance with the Law on Precious Metals & Precious Stones.

The changes are aimed at further improving the procedure for customs control and examination of precious stones imported into the country or in transit.
