11:03 - 23.07.2025

July 23, Fineko/abc.az. According to the updated forecasts of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), annual inflation is expected to be about 5.7% in 2025 and around 5.3% in 2026.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the information of the Central Bank.

In April of this year, the CBA announced that annual inflation would be about 5.3% in 2025 and close to 4.3% in 2026.

"The fact that the inflation forecast for the current year remains consistently targeted, and stability in the foreign exchange market remains, creates prerequisites for easing monetary policy. Further decisions on the parameters of the interest rate corridor will be made depending on actual and projected inflation, the dynamics of external and internal risk factors. The CBA will continue to use all the tools at its disposal to ensure price stability," CBA informs.

In addition, CBA’s statement says that annual inflation is moving along a predictable trajectory. In June 2025, 12-month inflation was 6%. The annual price increase was 7% for food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, 7.2% for paid services and 2.8% for non-food products. Annual core inflation was 4.8%.

Although uncertainty regarding external factors has persisted in recent months, their reinforcing effect on inflation has not been significant. According to the International Monetary Fund, in June 2025, the commodity price index decreased by 0.6% year-on-year, including the food price index by 4.2%.
