July 16, Fineko/abc.az. In the first half of 2025, Azerbaijani banks increased their revenues by 21% versus the 2024 same term, receiving 2.37 bn manats of interest income, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the preliminary financial indicators provided by the banks.

Thus, for Jan-Jun 2024, the interest income of country's banking sector amounted to 1.96 bn manats.

Banks' interest expenses totaled 853.7 million manats, non-interest income - 900.7 million manats, and non-interest expenses - 1.503 bn manats.

Thus, in the 1st half of the year, the banking sector received operating profit of 914.1 million manats.

The net profit of the banks is 578.3 million manats (5.8% less than a year earlier). In the previous year, the net profit amounted to 614 million manats.

The total assets of the sector reached 54.855 bn manats. However, in the previous year, this figure was 50.328 bn manats.
