June 30, Fineko/abc.az. The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has proven its effectiveness, and Armenia benefits from membership in it,

ABC.AZ informs, quoting Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov at today’s briefing.

"Membership in the CSTO brings certain benefits to Armenia, brings certain benefits, unequivocal benefits," he stressed.

Peskov recalled that the CSTO has repeatedly shown its effectiveness and efficiency recently. It is these examples that show that it is in the interests of the organization's members to continue to be a member and interact with it.

At the same time, the press secretary stressed that Armenia's decisions are sovereign. Moscow assumes that Yerevan has not withdrawn from the treaty, and Armenia is waiting for a decision on resuming its participation in the CSTO.
