July 24, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has signed four orders on new personnel changes in the diplomatic corps.
According to the orders signed on July 24, 2026, Rashad Eynaddin oglu Mammadov has been recalled from his position as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Turkey and has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan.
Mammadov has been serving as the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey since July 26, 2021.
By another decree of the Head of State, Rashad Fakhraddin oglu Aslanov was recalled from the positions of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Italian Republic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Malta, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of San Marino, and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Food and Agriculture Organization, the World Food Programme, and the United Nations International Fund for Agricultural Development, and was appointed the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey.
Aslanov has been serving as the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Italy since 2022.
