June 5, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has temporarily restricted imports of live poultry and poultry products from Latvian region Vidzeme because of an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza, ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency.

The restrictions apply to businesses located within a 10-km radius of the outbreak. The ban was imposed on the basis of the Terrestrial Animal Health Code of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH). Earlier, WOAH confirmed an outbreak of the disease in Vidzeme.
