China to lower duties on some goods from January 1

December 28, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from January 1, 2025, China will reduce import duties on ethane and some types of secondary copper and aluminum raw materials, ABC.AZ informs, referring to government's statement.

The changes are being introduced in order to increase imports of high-quality goods, expand domestic demand and promote high-level openness, the statement says.

Starting in 2025, temporary import duty will be imposed on 935 types of goods below the rate for most-favored-nation countries.

The reduction in duties will affect products such as cycloolefins, ethylene vinyl alcohol and automatic transmissions for special vehicles, sodium zirconium cyclosilicate, viral vectors for CAR-T cell therapy and nickel-titanium alloy wires for surgical implants.
