December 17, Fineko/abc.az. A line for the production of hydrogen-based steel autopanels has been launched in the Chinese province of Hebei in northern China, ABC.AZ informs, referring to the local leader of steel industry HBIS Group Co. Ltd. 

HBIS claims that this line is the first in the world. It is capable of producing 1.5 million tons of high-quality, eco-friendly and low-carbon materials for automotive panels annually.

Hydrogen metallurgy is a steel production process that uses hydrogen instead of coal, which significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions.
