Kazakhstan invited to become a BRICS partner country

 November 7, Fineko/abc.az. BRICS invited Kazakhstan to become a partner country of the organization, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Russian FM Sergei Lavrov. Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Russia, Dauren Abayev, previously said that the republic had received such a status.

The BRICS summit was held in Kazan on October 22-24. On the eve of the summit, Kazakh president’s press secretary Berik Uali said that Astana would refrain from applying for membership in the association as a member of the organization for the time being. Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Russia, Dauren Abayev, said at the end of the summit that Kazakhstan had received the status of a BRICS partner country.
