October 10, Fineko/abc.az. The Parliament of Ukraine has supported a bill on a "historic" tax increase, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Verkhovna Rada MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak in his Telegram channel.
In early October, Zheleznyak announced that the Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada had approved a bill on tax increases for the 2nd reading.
The project proposes an increase in the military levy from 1.5% to 5%, as well as an increase in the bank income tax to 50%. It is also proposed to exempt cashback from taxation, switch to monthly personal income tax reporting, and increase the rent for extraction of crushed stone.
"The Rada has adopted a bill on the historical increase in taxes. For – 247, in general," Zheleznyak wrote.
The Ukrainian edition of country.ua, referring to the document of the main legal department of the Verkhovna Rada, previously reported that the bill on increasing taxes in Ukraine does not comply with the norms of the constitution.
