Tokyo Stock Exchange becomes the largest in Asia

January 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Tokyo Stock Exchange has regained its status as Asia's largest stock exchange, ABC.AZ reports, referring to Japan’s economic newspaper Nikkei.

Thus, the Tokyo Stock Exchange surpassed the Shanghai Stock Exchange in terms of the total price of listed shares.

The total price of shares listed on the Tokyo market on January 11 was about 917 trillion yens - $6.32 trillion. This is the highest level in the history of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

On the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the total value of all shares was $6.27 trillion.

At that, according to Nikkei, China's combined stock market, consisting of the Shanghai, Hong Kong and Shenzhen stock exchanges, remains the largest in Asia.
