December 25, Fineko/abc.az. Russia's share in soft wheat imports in Azerbaijan has increased again.

ABC.AZ reports that for Jan-Oct 2023, our country imported a total of 944,920 tons of soft wheat for $245.52 million.

Most of the wheat imported in Azerbaijan, i.e. 84%, was imported from the Russian Federation. For the 2022 same term, Russia's share was 80%.

Thus, over Jan-Oct 2023, imports totaled 793,630 tons (a rise of 5% against Jan-Oct 2022. According to the State Statistics Committee, imports reached $194.72 million. The average price of a ton of wheat imported from Russia decreased by 29% compared with last year to $245.36.
