June 22, Fineko/abc.az. So far, 4.9 million manats of VAT have been refunded to consumers in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic within the EDB Geri Al Project.

ABC.AZ informs that of this amount, 800,000 manats accounted for Jan-May 2026 (a 24.2% rise against Jan-May 2025).

Over the past 5 months, 87.3 million manats of VAT paid in Azerbaijan have been returned to individual consumers for goods purchased from retail or catering companies (with the exception of oil and gas products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), services in the field of theatrical productions, film screenings, and museum visits, concerts of the Symphony Orchestra, as well as medical services provided by medical institutions and individuals engaged in private medical practice, and for overnight and accommodation services rendered by hotels (hotel facilities) considered as accommodation facilities in the territories liberated from occupation.
